Giving back: Portopong helps Friends of Hospice
It’s not always about being the best beer pong player on the table or how having bragging rights as the champ - our outside lives are important too. At PORTOPONG we try to always help other companies and organizations in need. The Friends Helping Hospice group contact us about a fundraiser and we were honored we could help. HOSPICE is a care program that provides a centralized program of palliative and supportive services to terminally ill persons and their families, in the form of physical, psychological, social and spiritual care; such services are provided by an interdisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers who are available at home and in specialized inpatient settings. The emphasis of HOSPICE is comfort and quality of life for the patient. These services are provided free of charge to the family and are dependent upon public funding to survive.
Our intention…
The purpose of this organization is to provide the opportunity to raise funds that are provided directly to HOSPICE as a way of thanking them. Our primary fundraisers will be an annual golf outing as well as an annual Valentines Dance. Information regarding these fundraisers can be found on the upcoming year’s link.
At each of these events we intend to create an atmosphere of fellowship and fun. So don’t hesitate to come and enjoy yourself and help us provide funds to a very worthy organization.
