Here is what you need:
- 2 Ripe Avocados
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt.
- 1 Tbsp of fresh lime juice.
- 2 Tbsp to 1/4 cup of minced red onion.
- 1-2 chiles, ( be sure that the stems and seeds are removed).
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped.
- A dash of black pepper.
- (3oz) of Patron Silver Tequila (approx. 2 shot glasses)
1 Cut avocado, remove flesh: Cut the avocados in half. Remove seed, tap a knife or twist. Score the inside of the avocado with a knife and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Put all this in your bowl.
2 Hulk Smash: That's right - its smashing time. Using a fork, mash the avocado flesh into a chunky mess. Don't over do it and make it into paste, chunky is ok.
3 Add salt, lime juice, and the rest: The lime is very important to add, the acid in the lime juice will provide balance to the flavoring of the avocado and will help keep the avocados green and slow the process of them turning brown. Then add the Patron Silver and stir.
Add the chopped onion, cilantro, black pepper, and chiles as needed, or leave them off to the side and let people make their own versions in a smaller bowl!
4 Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill: Do your best to cover the bowl with wrap to prevent air reaching from getting in, this is what started that ugly browning process.
